A video, made over a period of 18 months, documents the life of a canvas as it is distressed by exposure to the elements. The canvas, made using traditional methods, was suspended outdoors. Over a period of 18 months the life/decay of the canvas was documented, often on significant dates, e.g. Halloween 2018, Armistice Day Centenary 2018 and New Years Eve 2018.

Everyday sounds provide a background symphony to the piece. This project began in August 2018 and ended on Halloween, 31 October 2019. In addition to recording the passing of time, the gap between recordings documents periods of disengagement and personal loss experienced the artist. Equal significance is given to both. The video is projected onto the remnants of the canvas.
